Sure go for it! You should totally send me a pic if you ever finish it~
Also, if you want to make a post of it or something, don’t forget to credit me~
Marie Ruffalo is not only my kind and loving Mom, she is also a talented artist. She has been inspired by every aspect of her unusual life, the ups and downs, joys, tears, and fears. She has been doing her art since I was a boy, mostly for her own satisfaction and peace of mind. After much nudging by me and by my step Father, Jerry, she is finally willing to show it to the public. It’s a very difficult thing to do and I commend her for it. Take a look. https://www.marieroseruffalo.com/
This is actually really nice
Anonymous said: That post on Dia de Los Muertos is a false equivalency. I'm not mourning my loved ones deaths, I am celebrating their life and I find it disrespectful to compare it to "pretty much a funeral" even more so than to someone finding the aesthetics of my culture fashionable
Thanks for saying that! I still don’t know much about certain cultures and I’m trying to learn more, so thank you for sending me your thoughts. I know that for me personally, I feel a little offended when people wear certain things like head dresses and moccasins, when they have no idea the significance behind those things in aboriginal culture,(and those things are really personal for me and have huge ties into my identity) and I know how much that does (or even doesn’t) effect people. Thanks for sharing with me I really appreciate it, and I learned something as well~!

reminder: ferguson and palestine are still happening and are still important even though there’s less attention being paid to them right now

Adorable science is adorable.
Friendly reminder that Dia de Los Muertos is pretty much a funeral, and the dead being represented in the holiday are actual dead people who had families and friends and hopes and dreams. So just as you wouldn’t throw on black clothes and join a group of mourners because they look so fashionable in black, you shouldn’t paint your face and put marigolds in your hair and make altars because it looks cool to you. Thank.

This idea that back then we had made a ‘gay’ movie, [Megan] was a ‘gay’ cheerleader, and now I’m a ‘gay’ prisoner … is such a glaring injustice. You would never say, ‘Oh what’s this movie about?’ ‘It’s this guy, he’s a straight lawyer and he falls for this straight doctor and they go on a straight honeymoon.’ — Natasha Lyonne speaking about But I’m A Cheerleader, Orange is the New Black, and what we really say when we call shows with LGBT characters “gay shows.” (via the Huffington Post)
Fuck I’m walking downtown and I pass a group of guys staring at me and I think “great catcall time” but then one guy goes “you look like you could kill a man a million different ways with just your bare hands”. This. This is an acceptable comment to give a girl on the street.
Definitely trying to channel my inner Audrey Hepburn with my outfit of the day~ just a rough warm up caricature to wake up a little this Monday morning~ Forgive the drowsy phone picture~ *yawns*
This is really nostalgic~! It makes me miss going on the powwow trails in the summers. U wU
